What is the GPA Requirement for
admission in the MBA program?
A minimum
of 3.0 CGPA on a 4.0 scale or its established equivalent.
A TOEFL
score of 550, IELTS score of 6.0, or the equivalent of another standardized test
approved by the MOHESR, is required of all students admitted to a Master's program
with the following exceptions:
1.
A native speaker of English who has completed his/her
undergraduate education in an English medium institution in a country where English
is the official language.
2.
A student admitted to and graduated from an English
medium institution that can provide evidence of having acquired a TOEFL score of
500, or its standardized equivalent approved by the MOHESR, upon admission to the
Undergraduate program.

What is the minimum qualification
required for admission for MBA Program ?
A Bachelor’s
degree in Business discipline from an accredited institution in the UAE or its equivalent
or
A Bachelor’s
degree in any other discipline will be accepted but the applicant is required to
undergo a pre-MBA program to fulfill the requirement of business foundation
courses incase the student has not taken
any of these stipulated courses.

What is the meaning of credit
hours ?
Credit
hours refer to one lecture hour per week lasting for fifteen [15] weeks. Each lecture
hour is equivalent to two hours of practical study per week [laboratories, training,
workshop, etc].
Each
academic year consists of two semesters and each semester consists of 15 weeks.
The
College may arrange for a summer semester, which is a 12-week session. During the
summer semester, a student can earn a maximum of 12 credits.

of this program?
It will
be 36 credits, 18 months intensive program.

How many total courses I have
to study in this program?
Total
12 courses are offered (9 - core courses and 3 - elective courses).

What are the emphasis areas offered?
The
Skyline MBA Program will be offered in two emphasis areas of Marketing and Finance

How many days in a week the program
will run?
The
program will run in evening time three days in a week.

Do I have to take GMAT for getting
entry in this program?
No

The
program will involve a mix of teaching techniques such as interactive lectures,
case exercises, business games, role-plays and syndicate discussions. The purpose

Can I join the program if I have done my Bachelors
in non-business area such as Engineering, Arts, Medical etc?
Yes.
But you have to undergo Pre-MBA Program to gain required business knowledge before
embarking on main MBA Program. In Pre-MBA Program, you are required to clear 7 courses
of 3 credit hours. However, if you have done any of these courses in at Graduate
Level, you will be given transfer of credits for that.

Can I join the program if I have done my Bachelors
7-8 years before and my GPA is less than 3.0?
A student
who does not meet the required GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 scale in the Undergraduate
degree program and has had at least 8 years lapse from the time of having obtained
the Baccalaureate degree but meets the English proficiency requirement of TOEFL
score of 550 or its equivalent can get exceptional admission, provided he is granted
appropriate permission by the MOHESR.
14.
Can I get some TOC’s for some MBA Courses done in some
other institution?
A maximum
of 12 credit hours can be accepted as transfer into the MBA program of
Skyline University College
provided
these credit hours are adequate to meet the requirements for Transfer of credits
(TOC) procedures.
15.
What are the Graduation requirements for skyline MBA
Program?
A student
will be awarded the Masters of Business Administration degree upon fulfilling the
following graduation completion requirements:

Successful completion of 36 credit
hours
§
Achievement of overall CGPA not
less than 3.0
§
Achieving minimum B Grade in
Capstone Course.
§
