The
credit points assigned to a course are based on students' workload. The workload
associated with a course is the normal time, which can reasonably be expected of
an average student.
REQUIREMENTS FOR AWARD OF BACHELORS DEGREE
A student will be awarded the Bachelors Degree upon fulfilling the following requirements:
a. The number of credit hours as
specified in the field of major
b. Achievement of CGPA not less
than 2.00
c. 2.00 CGPA in the chosen field
of major
d. GPA of 2.00 in each Capstone
course
e. Recommendation for graduation
by the College Faculty and Administration
Graduation Honors
Upon
meeting the Bachelor’s Degree graduation requirements, those students who have exhibited
academic excellence will be awarded designations to indicate that they have graduated
with honors. To be eligible for these honors, a student must have a Cumulative Grade
Point Average (CGPA) on credits earned at
Skyline University College
as
per following:

dean’s List
In
recognition of academic excellence, selected students are named to the Dean’s List.
Selection criteria:
During
fall and spring semester, students who have earned a minimum semester GPA of 3.5
or better are placed on the Dean's List.
Students
must complete at least 12 or more credit hours in the program with no course less
than 'C' grade to be eligible.
Course
completed after the official end of the semester and course taken with a Credit
option will not be counted for this purpose.
Student
found in violation of academic integrity/dishonest means are ineligible to qualify
to the Dean's List fro the semester.
CLASS STANDING
Students class standings are classified according to the number of credit hours
satisfactorily completed.

PRE-REQUISITES
Some
courses require successful completion of another course or courses before being
taken. The required basic course is called a prerequisite. These prerequisites help
ensure student's success. If any course calls for 'senior status' as pre-requisite
that means all courses prior to 400 levels are to completed. However, in an established
ground or appropriate circumstances, prerequisites may be waived by the Dean - Academics.
FULL TIME STUDENT
To
be considered full time, students must carry a minimum course load of 12 credit
hours per semester with an average being 15 to 18 credit hours. They may increase
their study load in a given semester, to reach 21 credit hours in one of the following
cases:
If
the student achieves a 3.5 CGPA or more in the previous semester.
To
qualify a student for graduation requirement in the last semester of students.
