DURATION OF STUDY

Since Skyline University College undergraduate degree program has a structured progression for students, it enables a student to complete the undergraduate degree program of study in a period of four years under normal circumstances. However, the duration of the undergraduate degree program of study can be shortened through an accelerated plan of study. To become eligible for accelerated stream, certain conditions should be met.

Based on the academic performance of a student in the first three semesters (Fall, Spring and Fall) of the undergraduate program, there is a provision for completing the study in less than four years under the accelerated plan of study of minimum three years. For more clarification should contact Administration department.

ATTENDANCE

Attendance is mandatory in all classes held during the conduct of a course. Absence from class(es) prevents a student from getting full benefit of a course. Irregular attendance to classes disadvantages students in the class. Accordingly, absence can result in lower grades due to missed continuous mode of assessments as well as inability in learning the course contents in their entirety.

The minimum attendance required for a student to qualify for appearing for the final examination in a course is 75% of the total credit hours allocated for a course.

The University acknowledges that individual circumstances may prevent a student from attending class or classes. It is the University policy to excuse the absence of students that result from the following causes: illness of the student, accident, death in family, participating in University activities at the request of University authorities, and compelling circumstances beyond the student’s control. However, the minimum attendance required for a student with excused absence to be permitted to appear for the final examination cannot fall below 70% of the total hours allocated to a course with excused absence.

The student is responsible for all materials covered and announcements made during his / her absence. Students claiming excused absence must apply in writing and furnish documentary support of their assertion that absence resulted from one of the above causes.

GPA may be figured for each semester (semester GPA), for all hours attempted at the University (Cumulative GPA). All students are evaluated at the end of each year.
