RESULTS

The consolidated Results of the Academic Semester is normally declared within one week from the date of the last examination.  Students need to obtain the continuous mode of assessment marks from the concerned faculty before the commencement of the examination. It is the responsibility of the student to collect the grade report as a result of his/her semester examinations or check the University Portal for the same.

Appeal against marks / grade awarded:

A student may appeal against the grade awarded in the course only under the following circumstances:

§           Procedure is not in accordance with the current approved regulation

§           Material and significant administrative error has taken place

§           Unfair discrimination

§           Inconsistence decision

It is important for students to understand the status of grade assigned to each piece of assessment work. Faculty members make their judgment on individual student’s performance within the assessment regulations of a program, which outlines the objective of study and standards to be obtained. Assessment is a matter of judgment. Academic judgment of this type cannot be questioned or overturned. Disagreement with the marks itself is insufficient grounds for appeal.

Note: All appeals must be made within one working week of notification of results. Any appeal received after that day will be considered as time barred.

Appeal forms are available in the finance department. A fee of Dhs 100 needs to be paid for filing appeal for each course. In case an error is detected due to the University’s fault, the fee will be refunded.
