 DECIPLINARY POLICY

Any violation of the code of conduct as specified in the student handbook is liable for punishment. Some of the specific violation could be:

  • Misconduct in classroom, computer lab, or library.
  • Any misconduct during exams.
  • Any insult to faculty or staff members.
  • Any damage to College property.
  • Moving around in couples.
  • Fighting.
  • Theft.

In order to make fair decision on any misconduct/misbehavior or violation of student, a disciplinary committee called Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) is in place. The objective of this committee is to hear from the student and other parties involved in such an act in order to decide the course of action to rectify such misbehavior / misconduct in the future. The Administration Dept. will present the case to the Committee at the time of meeting / hearing.

The DAC consists of:

  • One faculty member teaching the student who has been called for hearing.
  • The advisor of the student.
  • Head of Student Service Department.
  • Head of Administration.
  • Student Class representative of the student.

The decision made by the committee is communicated to the student concerned, copy of the written decision is filed in the students file and the punishment decided by the committee should be served by the student.

The Disciplinary Review Committee (DRC): The DRC is the higher committee for appeal for any case that has been heard by the DAC and decision made on the charges. In the case of student dissatisfaction on the decision made and communicated by the DAC for a case of misbehavior/misconduct/violation, the student can appeal to the DRC. The Administration Dept. will again present the case to the DRC committee upon receiving the appeal petition from the student.

The DRC comprise of the following:

  • President of the College.
  • Dean Academics
  • Advisor of the student.

Any other violation, which is derogatory to the college
