GENERAL EDUCATION
The conservative dimension of the
General Education program is that it brings about a solid integration of the thought
structure of the students. Higher scores on the intellectual efficiency scale become
a natural consequence because the basic discipline of one course is comfortably
located in the other. These courses, at initial stages, turn out better scholars
overall than through the study of each of the majors independently without them.
They enhance the students’ social responsibility and total behavior system and entwine
them so well that the underlying elements move and modify students both subjectively
and objectively. The program also helps them to strengthen their grip on their other
pursuits.
The broad intellectual spectrum
of the program is based on the following goals:
- Achieving proficiency English language
and numerical ability.
- Enabling the students to become adept
in the basics of Information Technology and its applications.
- Developing critical thinking skills
for problem solving abilities.
- Aligning adaptability with ethical,
cultural and moral values in a changing society and work place.
- Preparing students for imbibing professional
excellence in their later career pursuits.
The above goals will be achieved
through the following objectives:
- Through establishing coherence in
English communication with vocabulary and grammatical usage.
- By developing numerical understanding
to enhance the students’ problem solving abilities.
- Through providing basic efficiency
in computer skills.
- By exploring the human sprit and soul
and make science deal with its logical existence and progress.
- By helping students identify their
intellectual capacity.
