SERVICES PROVIDED

Responsible for providing counseling to the students which includes health counseling, personal counseling and counseling on academic concerns.

Resolving the problem faced by the students related to academic and academic support services of the University.

  • Coordinates between the Academic advisors and the students.
  • Conducting various feedbacks from the students to support the Institutional Effectiveness System of the University.
  • Coordinating for the formation of student clubs and committees with the Student Affairs Office.
  • Following up with students to ensure that their attendance requirement is fulfilled.
  • Conducting the student orientation programs for the new students.
  • Attending to the students complain or suggestions.
  • Processing student cancellation, etc.

The Committees which fall under the Student Counseling Office are:

1) Class representatives committee

The Class representative committee was formed with an aim to engage students in the decision making process and to be a part of the organization development.

Objective of the committee:

  • The purpose of the Class Representatives is to discuss student affairs, academic and academic support matters.
  • The Class Representatives are solely responsible for the representation of respective programs student affairs.
  • The President and Vice-President of Class Representatives Committee are responsible to attend all the invitations received by other Colleges/universities student governing body meets.

Members of the committee:

The Class Representatives Committee consists of two representatives from each class. Election of Class Representatives is conducted once in a year at the beginning of academic year.

Elected Class Representatives elect the President and Vice-President of the Class Representative Committee.

The Class Representatives Committee also consists of Head of Academics, Head of Departments of Sports, Student Counseling Officer, Student Affairs Officer, Learning Support Services and Administration.

 

Terms of Membership:

 

Members are appointed for a period of one year and re-appointment is subject to the student’s performance and group involvement.
